This ceiling fan is from the mid 1980s, 1984 - 86 era. Unlike most S.M.C. Laguna ceiling fans, this one does not have a two piece plastic canopy, it has a whole metal canopy. This ceiling fan has a three speed pull chain and a forward/reverse switch. The switch housing is metal. S.M.C. did some minor changes to the 52 inch Laguna ceiling fans, without giving them a different model number.   Pictures
