The first on position is a fast speed, the second on position can be controlled with the variable speed control, from fast to very slow. Ball and socket mounting hardware is used to mount this ceiling fan, also has a bell canopy adjustable for slanted ceilings. The ceiling fan is also light kit adaptable. Neat Fan!!
