Information About Hugger Ceiling Fans
Hugger ceiling fans came about in the early 1980s,
Asian factories started to make a series or versions of hugger ceiling fans. Hunter Fan Company does have a series of them
called the studio series, which came out in the mid 1980s. Hugger ceiling
fans are for places which have low ceilings. The range between floor and
ceiling fan blades must be at least 7 feet. Hugger ceiling fans are great for
mobile homes, houses with low ceilings, or rooms with low ceiling,
manufactures started to manufacture ceiling fans with an optional way to
mount the ceiling fan, this was called flush mounting. The flush mount
hardware contains a big canopy that mounts directly to the motor housing
of the ceiling fan, around the same area you would connect the down rod.
Though there is a down side of flush mounting and hugger ceiling fans,
due to the small amount of space between the ceiling fan blades and
ceiling. The less distance between the blades and ceiling, the less air
the fan will pull.. Hugger ceiling fan blade brackets tend to be longer
and more of a down curve to them than regular mounted ceiling fans, this
is to increase the space between the blades and ceiling.
Most stores like Walmart, Kmart, Target, Sears,
Home Depot, and Lowes sells hugger ceiling fans under their store brand
