Information About Hugger Ceiling Fans

Hugger Ceiling fans came about in the early 1980s, A lot of Asian manufacturers were putting out a line of hugger ceiling fans then and still now. Hunter Fan Company does have a series of them. Hugger ceiling fans are meant for places which have low ceilings. The range between ceiling fan blades must be 7 feet. Hugger ceiling fans are great for mobile homes, houses with low ceilings, or rooms with low ceiling, manufactures started to manufacture ceiling fans with an optional way to mount the ceiling fan, this was called flush mount. The flush mount hardware contains a big canopy that mounts directly to the motor housing of the ceiling fan, around the same area you would connect the down rod. Though there is a down side of flush mounting and hugger ceiling fans, due to the small amount of distant between the ceiling fan blades and ceiling. Less air is moved by the ceiling fan. Hugger ceiling fan blade brackets tend to be longer and more of a down curve to them then regular mounted ceiling fans, this is to increase the height between the blades and ceiling. The less distance between the blades and ceiling,

the less air fan will pull.

Most stores like Walmart, Kmart, Target, Sears, Home Depot, and Lowes sells hugger ceiling fans under their store brand
