Hampton Bay Southwind 42 inch ceiling fan from the late 1980s, early 1990s. This one is dated August 1992. This series was called "The Southwind". Made in Taiwan by Air Cool. This is the original version of the Southwind which was very popular in this form and size. They were offered in Home Depot stores, in many different color variations and sold around the years 1989 - 1993, possibly even up to the mid 90s. The series still exists today in a much different form. Has a three speed pull chain, and a forward/reverse switch. Uses a ball and socket bracket mounting system.
