Magazine ordered gear drive ceiling fan from the early to mid 1980s. Make and model is unknown. Has a on/off pull chain. Fan is very noisy and sounds like a can opener when in motion. Has a upper and lower canopy. The motor housing, switch housing, blade brackets, and canopies are plastic. No info on the blades. They had to be very light, due to the brackets being made out of plastic and very brittle. Down rod goes through the motor housing and screws directly into the motor. One of the worst fans ever made, but very odd and neat.
