Fair Fan ceiling fans were made in Hong Kong and were sold in the United States through Prima Fans Inc. starting in January of 1981. Fair Fan Factory incorporated in August of 1980, and was in business until 1991. Golden Fan ceiling fans were also sold to different companies in the United States. Golden Fan Electrical Manufacturing Factory Company Limited incorporated in October of 1978 and was in business until November of 2000. It's possible that Prima Fans Inc. could have been owned by the same people who owned one or more of these factories in Hong Kong, They may have had other disturbers listed under other names in the United States to sell/ship to store chains. In this case if the fan was defected or was under warranty, or past the 30day store warranty if offered, the consumer dealt with the distributor instead of directly to the H.K. factories. New Fan Manufactory Limited incorporated in August of 1973, and was in business until August of 1992. New Fan ceiling fans were also sold under Moss Ceiling Fans of Florida and was Moss's series of the "Tropical Breeze", Some Moss Tropical Breeze ceiling fans have a motor that was from Golden / Fair Fan Factories. We also have reason to believe that Golden Fan, Fair Fan and New Fan made ceiling fans were also being sold to the United States through Codep. New Fan labeled spinner ceiling fan motors are slightly different in shape than the Golden Fan or Fair Fan labeled ceiling fans.
